Lectureship or Summit

This past week at ACU has been Summit...the new name for Lectureship at ACU. Yes, I loved hearing Leroy Garrett and having Larry Mudd tell me stories. Those were good but mostly I loved catching up with old friends and some new ones.
Larry and Cynthia Wilson Mudd and her two precious children, Jacob and Lydia
Joe and Annette Hale
Tom Norvell
Jean-Noel's parents

And I met a new friend. The mom of a girl that I looked up to in college. I wanted to be like her. Tracy Huebner. Bobbie, so good to talk with you...you felt like an old friend.

This is why!

This is why I am voting for Sen. Barak Obama. I believe that he is looking for God's eyes. This election isn't about the far right...although many think that it is...it is about the kingdom of God.......Your kingdom come on earth as it is heaven. For that to happen we have to stop thinking about me, me, me and my money and my children and my quality of life and start thinking about the greater good. Isn't that what God is all about? I want someone to lead our country who can see past the patriotism and that stupid lie that we are the best and lead from a place of compassion and globalism. We are not truly free until we are all free.
Put down your star spangled banner and look some people in the eye...people who are different from you.
